► Door Step Challenge

Every year, thousands of students move out of Bournbrook and what they leave behind in terms of rubbish or old furniture usually ends up in their garden, as landlords clear the property for new tenants. This looks unsightly and makes the area look a mess! This can also have the affect of long-term residents feeling like the new residents have no care for their area. We know this isn’t true and work to help clear the mess and portray a positive image of students. One idea to help us do this is the Doorstep Challenge, which gives everyone the opportunity to tidy their garden and win some prizes in the process!

What is the Doorstep Challenge?

Doorstep Challenge is simple - the idea being that if a householder makes the effort to clean a garden up really well then they will be entered into a judging competition with the chance of winning prizes.

The competition begins on May 3rd and closes on May 13th.

The more effort that goes in, the greater the chance of winning the top prize!

What happens next?

When you register you will recieve a confirmation email. This will inform you that a your registration has been successful and give you a date when a Community Warden will be popping along to your address and take a 'befre' picture. The email will also tell you when they will return to take an 'after' picture of the cleaned up garden and enter you into the competition.

How do I get involved?

Entry is really simple. E-mail your name and address to: community@guild.bham.ac.uk or call (0121) 251 2502.
