 Important Dates

 

Throughout the year there are various important meetings and deadlines that you may need to be aware of, some of which are listed below. For specifics and updates, ask in Student Development or keep an eye for the weekly newsletters.

 

 22nd & 23rd September: Societies Fairs, 11-4pm: Underground & Marquee

26th September: Start of autumn term

6th October: Student Groups Open Forum, 6.15pm, Guild Council Chamber.

Late October: Miniforum meetings (details to be confirmed)

10th November: Guild Council (only elected miniforum representatives need to attend, but all students can attend if they want. 6pm in the Guild Council Chamber.

Late November: Residents Association elections

1st December: Student Groups Open Forum, 6.30pm (location to be confirmed)

2nd December: Deadline for claim forms to be submitted that will be guaranteed to be processed before the end of term

6th December: Guild Council (only elected miniforum representatives need to attend, but all students can attend if they want. 6pm in the Guild Council Chamber.

9th December: end of term

22nd December-3rd January (inclusive): Guild closed

9th January: Start of spring term; deadline for spending autumn term grant funding

Late January: Guild Officer Group nominations open

31st January: Get Involved Societies Fair, Great Hall

1st February: Work Experience Fair, Great Hall

2nd February: Guild Council (only elected miniforum representatives need to attend, but all students can attend if they want. 6pm in the Guild Council Chamber, (TBC)

February: Miniforum meetings (TBC)

2nd-9th March: Guild Officer Group elections

15th March: Guild Council (only elected miniforum representatives need to attend, but all students can attend if they want. 6pm in the Guild Council Chamber, (TBC)

20th March: Guild Awards (Great Hall)

23rd March: End of spring term

6th-11th April: Guild Closed

23rd April: start of summer term; deadline for spending spring term grant funding

May: Signing-up for Societies Fair stalls, and applications for 2012-13 grant funding

June: University Community Day (TBC)

12th June: Guild Council (only elected miniforum representatives need to attend, but all students can attend if they want. 6pm in the Guild Council Chamber, (TBC)

15th June: end of summer term, deadline to apply for 2012-13 grant funding

End of June: deadline for claiming 2011-12 summer term and Other Spends grant funding
