A community of almost 1,000 Student Reps who represent the views of undergraduates and postgraduates to the University.
Student Reps gather the academic and education related issues facing their peers and discuss them with University staff. Student Reps and staff work together to address these issues.
Student Reps have played a significant role in bringing about many positive changes for students and researchers at Birmingham. Achievements include longer library opening hours, better research and learning facilities, campaigning against department closures, better quality assessment feedback and improvements in timetabling.
Being a Student Rep is a unique opportunity to shape the educational experience that you and your peers receive at the University of Birmingham. The role also gives you the opportunity to meet other students and researchers, learn more about Higher Education, develop employability skills and get involved in Guild campaigns. Contact your lecturer, supervisor or School administrator to find out when your Student Rep elections are taking place.
