Reporting Crime
If you are a victim of crime then you should report it to the police. This might be a painful experience, having to revisit the incident in your mind, but by doing so you can prevent others from becoming a victim too and hopefully the perpetrator will be tracked down. If you can, try to report the crime as soon as it happens.
There are many ways in which you can report a crime:
Dial 999 - If someone’s life is in danger or a crime is in progress.
Dial 0345 113 5000 – To report a crime, contact your local Police Station, to get Police assistance in a non-emergency and for general queries.
Dial 0800 555 111 - To report crime anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers.
Whilst on campus:
University Security – Campus security is available 24/7, 365 days of the year. In the event of a medical or other emergency you should contact them. They can then contact the emergency services for you if required.
Dial 0121 414 4444 – University Security (Emergency number)
Dial 0121 414 3000 – University Security (Non-emergency number)
