Guild of Students Memberships

Please note: If you have just registered an account, an email address verification link has been sent to the address provided. Once you've verified your email address you will be able to log in using your email address and password. Your username is the email address you registered with.

The Guild of Students offers a range of Memberships. If you are a Full Time Current University of Birmingham student, you will already have access to all of these benefits and do not need to sign up to any additional memberships.

All former Officers of the Guild, former holders of Honorary Life Membership or Officer Life Membership will now be required to apply for External Membership in the normal way before being able to access any Guild Services, Licenced Activity and Events or to join a Student Group.

We currently have 3 levels of Membership; Guest Membership, External Membership and Student Membership.

Available Memberships

Guest Membership

If you’re not a current University of Birmingham student, you’ll need to create a Guest account to log into our website & to apply for External Membership.

Once you’ve done this, you’ll be able to access some pages which are currently unavailable to you unless you log in.

Please note that a Guest account WILL NOT allow you to purchase most products or tickets from our website or join student groups.

Student Membership

If you’re a current Full Time University of Birmingham student you will have full access to all pages.

You will be able to purchase items for sale and join student groups.

You DO NOT need to apply for any other Memberships.

External Membership

If you were an External Member of the Guild in the previous year and cannot see the "Apply for External Membership" button below when logged in, and are looking to re-apply, please visit our re-applying page before applying for more information.

If you’re not a current University of Birmingham student and have a Guest Account, you can become an External Member of the Guild of Students.

If you're a current University of Birmingham student externally resitting or on a LOA, you can also apply to be an External Member of the Guild.

An External Member account WILL allow you to purchase items for sale and join student groups.

To become an External Member you will need to create a Guest Account first and then apply for External Membership through our application form.
