Policy & Campaigns Coordinator (Fixed Term 6 months)
£20,462 gross per annum
The Guild is looking to recruit a creative, pro-active and collaborative individual as a Policy & Campaigns Coordinator.
The Policy & Campaigns Coordinator will support the Guild to become an expert in the student experience at Birmingham and to develop high impact campaigns that make changes for students on the issues that matter the most. You will work proactively and creatively with students and staff to develop policy that empowers Officers to deliver on their Priority Campaigns and to make sure our campaigns work is impactful and insight- led. You will also become an expert on Higher Education policy, sharing this knowledge with students and staff in ways that are engaging and accessible.
Within this role, you will work as part of a wider Student Voice team who are responsible for the delivery of all representation, democratic, campaigning and policy services at the Guild. You will also provide support to volunteers and Guild officers, to ensure that students are represented professionally and successfully.
You will have the ability to communicate and establish strong working relationships with a wide range of individuals both in and outside the Guild and University, including students, senior management and external organisations, and also to create and maintain effective administrative systems. You will use your skills to help us evaluate and continuously improve our policy and campaigns work and to help us demonstrate our impact in making positive changes to the lives of Birmingham students.
