We recognised Go Green Week last month, and Matt, your Ethical & Environmental Officer, planned a whole host of events for you to get involved with and find out more about how you could do your bit for the environment.
Matt is also lobbying the University to declare a Climate Emergency and you can also help by signing Matt's Open Letter and sending one of the letters below to your college. Matt explains:
'This year, the Guild of Students is calling upon the University of Birmingham to declare a climate emergency. While we remain in troubling and difficult times due to the global pandemic, unfortunately, there is simply not enough time to delay action on the climate crisis. As a result, the University of Birmingham needs to declare a climate emergency immediately and affirm its belief that urgent action is needed to tackle the climate crisis. Make your voice heard on such an important issue by signing our open letter to Vice-Chancellor David Eastwood, and use the templates below to email your head of college to urge them to declare a climate emergency.
