Join RailSoc on our annual residential trip to the Ffestiniog Railway in Eryri, North Wales.
Each year we take the train from Birmingham to Minffordd, via the incredibly scenic Cambrian Coast Line. We'll have a meal at Spooner's Bar & Grill, the Railway's restaurant in Porthmadog, and will stay in comfy volunteer hostel accommodation.
There'll be two days' work on the Railway, fully supervised with trained staff. The task for this year isn't confirmed yet, but in previous years we've laid a cable duct at Tan-y-Bwlch station and cleared leaves, logs and sleepers from the line with power tools!
This is our most highly anticipated trip of the year, so don't miss out!
