It's Go Green Week!

There’s no denying that we’re in a state of climate emergency, so it’s crucial that we each do our bit to protect our environment and working together will make a massive difference, so join us for a week events focused on the theme of sustainability.

From quizzes to giveaways, a nature walk and a panel event with a guest speaker - explore all events below.

Go Green Week Events

Go Green Week: 24th March 9am - 28th March 5pm; Campus; Join us for a week events focused on the theme of sustainability.

Big Green Quiz: 24th March 4pm - 6pm; Canvas House, Teignmouth Rd; Join us for a fun-filled sustainability quiz during Go Green Week at Canvas House! Free snacks and awesome prizes to be won. Get your free ticket now!

Go Green Bingo: 24th March 6pm - 10pm; Joes Bar at the Guild of Students; Time to Go Green at Joes Bingo Bonanza Night !!!!!! Prizes will be sustainably sourced this week !!

Veolia Q&A: 25th March 2pm - 3pm; Rosa Parks; Join our waste and recycling company to explore upcoming legislative changes, their impact on you, and what they mean for your future

Halls Having a Ball – Moss Ball Terrarium Making!: 25th March 4pm - 6pm; Chamberlain Social Space; To celebrate Go Green Week, bring a little piece of greenery into your flat, with our MOSS-BALL terrarium making event!

A Green Future in a Divided Area: 26th March 1pm - 2pm; Amos, Guild Of Students; Let's discuss environmental sustainability in socially, politically, or geographically divided areas. What are the barriers that make it challenging to implement?

Demystifying Sustainability: 26th March 2pm - 3pm; Amos, Guild Of Students; Let's make sustainability easier to understand by breaking it down into simple, clear explanations. Let's try to remove some of the confusion.

'No Buy' Sports Night: 26th March 11pm - 4am; Guild of Students; Don't buy new—reuse what you have! Take the opportunity to upcycle your old sports night costumes and keep it both clean and green.

Selly Oak Nature Walk: 27th March 2pm - 3pm; Shackelton reception; Join us for a nature walk around the local area and connect with the nature around Selly Oak and the University.

Big Green Guild Quiz: 27th March 6pm - 10pm; Joes Bar at the Guild of Students; This week we will be Going Green and there will be a whole round on Eco topics Come along to Joes bar for a night of quiz, cash prizes for 1st,2nd & 3rd place. Selected food and drink will be on offer. £5 per team, maximum 5 people in a team

Great Green Giveaway: 28th March 10am - 4pm; Guild Reception; Get them while they last! LED light bulbs and smart plugs are available at reception

Halls Turn the Page: Book Swap and Bookmark Making: 28th March 3pm - 5pm; Mason Social Space; Where every book finds a new home, and every bookmark tells a story. Bring your old books to swap out for something new, and take home a new bookmark too!
