The Guild is excited to announce that we will be hosting the 10th SHAPE conference in 2024, in collaboration with Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS-UK).
The SHAPE Sustainability Impact Project represents a joint effort between the British Academy and SOS-UK, whereby a ‘living laboratory’ approach is employed to showcase the significance of arts, humanities and social sciences in addressing sustainability issues.
This initiative aligns with the British Academy’s utilisation of the acronym SHAPE which stands for Social Sciences, Humanities and the Arts for People, as well as the Economy / Environment.
The conference will bring representatives from Students’ Unions across the UK to the Guild to discuss sustainability issues.
Sustainability is a key focus for us at the Guild, as we measure ourselves against our environmental impact and work to continually develop our understanding of environmental issues and how we can affect positive change.
