Regulations and Rules Governing the Election

Election Regulations govern Guild cross-campus elections and ensure they are free and fair at the Guild of Students. This is through the current Guild Bye-Laws (Guild Bye-Law 8) in conjunction with our Guild Election Regulations.

As per Bye-Law 8 within the Guild of Students’ Bye-Laws all applicants and voters must be Full Members of the Guild of Students to nominate themselves and vote. As per the Byelaws and the Election Regulations it is expected that candidates standing in elections for Liberation positions self-define as belonging to that Liberation group.
