Article19 is University of Birmingham's oldest drama society - committed to adapting and interpreting classical works 🎭
We are part of Guild Drama, and focus on Classical Theatre through our shows, socials, and workshops. We run 3 shows a year, including a garden performance of a 'Short and Sweet Shakespeare' outdoors each summer. We also run weekly 'Casual Classics', engaging with classical works in a relaxed and accessible social environment.
After a short period of inactivity over COVID, we were resurrected with a bang in 2024, and are constantly working to expand our activities and membership!
