GMTG is a fun, welcoming and lively society that celebrates everything Musical Theatre. Established in 1988, GMTG celebrated its 35th anniversary of performing shows in the Guild of Students in 2023!
There is always plenty to get involved with. Every year we aim to perform two big productions (think West Side Story, Rent, Hairspray or Jesus Christ Superstar) and also a showcase where you can find everything from Carousel to Cabaret, Little Shop of Horrors to The Last Five Years, Hamilton to Hedwig. Whether you sing, dance or act; direct, design, stage manage, play in the band or MD we have something for you!
We also have workshops open to all members of all abilities, we just want you all to enjoy yourselves. The workshops will take a variety of activities - such as singing, dancing, and acting - usually taught by students but we aim to get external performers in for one-off workshops.
Keep an eye on our socials for all the information about opportunities for you!
We elect a new committee at the end of each year to run the society, just another way to get involved! On top of this, we have open mic/karaoke nights, pub crawls, film screenings and theatre trips so that our members can make new friends and have fun!

(Step two) - Against all odds, Elle defies expectations, dazzling her way into Harvard (very realistically) through a huge dance number. Yet, amidst her pursuit of rekindling romance, Elle discovers a deeper truth: her worth extends far beyond surface appearances.
(Step thr-) - Elle finds herself thrown into a high-stakes murder trial where her unconventional skills learned back in Malibu become unexpectedly valuable.
