Existing as a woman and non-binary person on campus is more than difficult, but the University and The Guild do not do enough to support us. Unfortunately, many of us are oppressed due to institutional, societal, and economic norms, however, there are practical steps that have not been made and should be made to assist wellbeing. Progress has been made in recent years with the campus safety app, handing out personal and home alarms, and some bathrooms offering free period products. However, the University and The Guild have a duty of care for students. Therefore more can be done. - The Guild should hand out free drink covers in fresher's week and have them on hand during Fab n Fresh and other major events - Every womens and gender neutral bathroom on campus should offer free period products and equally a sanitary bin for disposal - Offer free pregnancy tests via an Umbrella site (or something similar) on campus - Introduce a "Women's and Nonbinary Wednesday" during fresher's week providing guidance and an honest space for support and discussion - Introduce sanitary bins in all gender neutral bathrooms - Create an anonymous reporting system for harassment, discrimination or violence, through an online form
